Qualifications:
*Bachelors Degree
*Successful experience in a non-profit arts management/leadership position preferred but not required
*Budgeting and financial experience
*Fundraising and marketing skills
*Ability to provide vision and long-range planning
*Strong computer skills are required, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel; familiarity with Quickbooks and InDesign is a plus.
*Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
*Strong commitment to the arts
Job Summary:
The Managing Director is responsible for implementing, guiding and administering programs of the Symphony in accordance with the Symphony mission at the general direction of the Board. The Managing Director will manage the daily business operations of the Symphony and establish and maintain positive relationships with the communities served by the Symphony. The Managing Director reports to the Board, communicates through the President, manages and supervises administrative staff and volunteers, and collaborates closely with the Music Director.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
