2008 – 2009 AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Fox Valley Symphony announces the following opening for the 2008–2009 season

* Section Violin * Section Viola
* Third Horn * Sub List – strings
* 2nd Oboe/EH


Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on College Avenue in Appleton, WI. The times will be between 12:00 and 5:00 pm. Please contact the Fox Valley Symphony office for additional audition information. Resumes must be postmarked by April 21, 2008.

General Audition Information

All resumes will be considered. Following receipt of your materials, we will mail you detailed information regarding the audition process. Excerpt lists for each instrument will be provided. Audition times will be assigned after your registrations are received.

To reserve a time slot for an audition, please provide the following information.
· Single Page Resume
· Self addressed, stamped envelope
· $25 refundable deposit

Substitute: Those interested in auditioning for our substitute list in the string sections may also do so at this time. Audition excerpt requirements are available upon request.

The Fox Valley Symphony, located in Appleton WI, performs 5-6 subscription, educational, and Holiday concerts, and other daytime and evening services. Our performance venue is the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. A typical season will consist of approximately 36 – 42 services.
